This image is set in Egton Bridge, North Yorkshire, 7 miles north of Whitby. In the background is the wonderful Horseshoe Inn, the food is exceptional, do try it if you get the chance. The path leads to the stepping stones, the wooden bridge is private and connects a small island. Salmon can be seen jumping the weir just round the corner. The couple are in love, he kissing the nape of her neck.
Just round the corner from my workshop here in Scalby. The wooden structure being the entrance to St. Lawrence's churchyard. Tom Laughton, brother to the film star Charles Laughton is buried there. The couple are entering the graveyard by unorthodox means!
