Need facilities to complete your printmaking project, don't have access to presses?
Here at Bracken Press, once you've mastered the techniques and are familiar with the processes, then hire the facilities, presses, aquatint box, heaters, inks paper, scrim, acids. A daily rate is charged and all materials at cost.

The course tutor, Michael Atkin , is a member of, The Oxford Guild of Printers, The Private Libraries Association and Secretary of The Fylingdales Group of Artists, and an Exhibiting artist with Leeds Fine Artists He has over 40 years' of successful teaching experience across a wide range of levels, and enjoys an international reputation as an artist- printmaker.
He has exhibited widely throughout Britain and abroad, and his work is held in many national and international collections including The Victoria and Albert Museum, The British Museum, National Library of Australia, British Gas, British Petroleum, Ohio State University, Hartlepool Council, Leeds City Council, Beverley Art Gallery and many others.

We offer an exciting program of workshops dealing with specialist aspects of various print processes including, etching, mezzotint, dry point, lino-printng, bookmaking and letterpress. These workshops are aimed at a wide audience, are suitable for both beginners and more experienced printmakers alike, and cover a wide range of methods and processes. The etching workshop is situated at the bottom of the garden and measures 11 metres by 5.5 metres in size, whilst the lino and surface printing workshop is in the newly created space where three antique printing presses from the 19th century are housed.
